How our Color Picker works
A color picker tool is a visual tool, which allows you to pick a colour and obtain numbers representing the colour. You can select a colour visually and automatically see their equivalents in a number of popular colour formats, rather than having to work them out by hand.
Selected color will be shown in HEX, RGB/RGBA, HSL/HSLA, HSV/HSB and CMYK formats in our tool. The Hue and Alpha controls also can be used to fine-tune the selected color and alpha transparency.
The colour preview changes in real time as you adjust the colour; you can check out the colour you have selected before copying the colour code.
Each design and development environment has its own color system. We have some popular formats all in one place with our colour picker online tool.
What is HEX?
HEX or hexadecimal color notation is the way that colors are expressed using a six-digit code made up of numbers and letters. For instance, #2563EB is a particular shade of blue.
In HTML and CSS, HEX is the most common way of creating website colours.
What is RGB?
RGB is an abbreviation of Red, Green and Blue. It is a color with three values – 0 to 255.
For example:
rgb(37, 99, 235)
RGB is primarily used in web design, software applications, graphics, and electronic signage.
What is RGBA?
RGBA is an extension of RGB with the addition of an Alpha value, which specifies transparency.
For example:
rgba(37, 99, 235, 0.5)
Useful if you need a colour with transparency.
What is HSL?

Move the slider, set the transparency values and copy the resulting RGBA or HSLA value.
Looking for a particular shade of color?
Fine-tune the hue by using the colour selection area and Hue slider so that it matches the colour that you want.
Looking for a color for CSS?
